On days like this
Sometimes I want to cry
But I do not know why
Or for what reason in particular.
It just comes, salty water gushes out,
Tears of crystal finding a way out.
Sometimes through smiles
Tears slide down easier.
They drown in laughter
And only glisten to enforce it.
But they are still tears.
Does that make a difference?
Are tears still tears if they`re happy?
Could happiness cry?
Perhaps it can when it gets saddened.
We all do for one reason or another.
And reasons are abundant
Even if we call them happy occasions.
Then are tears double-hearted?
Are they misleading?
Try them sometimes.
Deep in the salty taste
There is a spicy twinkle,
It even turns sweet
If patience allows you to taste it.
So on days like this
I don`t fee like crying,
I rather feel like exploring
For the sweetness that comes later.
It inevitably does,
However long it takes.
